Fun with the family

Well we have been very busy the past few weeks. My sister was here for 3 weeks, it was really fun to have her here. The kids, my sister and I went to Chicago for a couple of days. My cousin was home with here husband and her baby girl. They live in Columbia. It was very nice to visit with them. We went to a children's museum, ate out, played at the park and just visited. Then the day we got back my mom step dad and brother came that evening. We had a great time with them. We went up to Shippsawana to the indoor water park. We had so much fun. Probably the best time we have ever had there. Oliver was soooooo into it. He started out going down the big slides with Dan and then by himself It was really cute. He wanted to do it over and over. It is crazy how fast he is growing up. Oliver is getting to be very brave. Danica was having fun also. She wasn't that adventurous. But she enjoyed herself. Then the rest of the visit we swam in our pool, because it got very hot, very suddenly. This last week we haven't been doing much. We are outside most of the day, and in the pool quite often. Oliver is going to start swim lessons in a couple of weeks. He'll be old enough to take them w/out me. I think he will do much better that way. Also Oliver will be turning 3 on July 11. We can't believe it. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer, and this hot, hot weather. This is Oliver coming out of the slide by himself. He would come out backwards every time.

Play date and fun with Codi

We had a fun day today. It started out yucky because it was cool and rainy, but then it was nicer the later it got. We went to Ashley's house and Terika and Olivia were there. It was a fun play date over there. We didn't really stay that long because the kids didn't sleep well the night before so they were getting tired. Then later in the afternoon we played out side and checked out our garden. The kids like going in there and digging in the dirt. Well I'm sure we will have more pix soon.

Codi with our cat, it lives outside and usually just gets chased by the kids. But when Codi is here she plays with it the whole time.

The kids looking at our veggies growing, yum yum! The three cuties, it will be so fun for them to grow up together.

Fun at The Zoo

We had a fun fun weekend. Davette and Chase are in town for a week. So on sat morning we all went to the zoo. It was lots fun. The boys ran through the entire zoo just about, with Davette and I yelling after them to wait up. A few times Oliver got too far ahead and Dan had to haul it to go get him. Danica was so fun to watch. She loved it. She walked almost the entire time. After the zoo we had a picnic at the playground. What a fun day. Oliver and Chase are fun to watch. They are either really having fun together, or screaming and hitting each other. But they communicate a lot more this time, and it is fun to here them talk. We've just been hanging out down at Dan's parents a lot while they are here. I had a doctor appt. on Thursday. I got to have another ultrasound, and everything is looking much better. What an answered prayer. Our God is amazing. Recently we have taken Oliver's Pacifier away, and what a struggle it has been. He hasn't asked for it but he is having an EXTREMELY difficult time falling asleep for naps and night time. I'm talking it takes him over an hour to fall asleep. I rub his back, head, lay with him, he just can't relax. I feel really bad for him but he was getting way to attached to it and it was time to move on from that. Well that is what is new in the Kessel house. Have a great day!

Danica was having fun getting wet from the water fountain.

Oliver and Aunt D on the merry go round.

Danica just being her cute cute self.

Kessel update

Well we've had a crazy past couple of weeks. I have had some complications with this pregnancy so far but hopefully it is all in the past, and the rest will be smooth sailing from here. My placenta came partially detached. We will find out Thursday if it has repaired itself. Let me tell you it is so reassuring that we have a God that is a protector and always there to get us through hard times. Without him this past few weeks would have been totally different. We just put our trust in Him and he will see us through!!!!!! Dan has been really wonderful in helping out more even with his busy schedule. I love him so much, and am very thankful for him. Last week Dan poured concrete in our sun room off the garage. The kids had a blast helping him. It is going to look really nice when it's all done. He's cut it, and cut a border also. Then we're going to pick out a couple of stains for it, I can't wait to see the end result. He is so talented . I get spoiled with things like this. Two years ago he poured curvy walkways and a really big back patio, and stamped the whole thing. It really dressed our house up. Anyways, the kids are doing really well. I have finally stopped giving Danica her nightly bottle before bed, and she did great. Next is to break Oliver from his pacifier. That one will be very hard. We have many visitors coming this month. So we should be very busy and having lots of fun. Hope everyone is having a great summer.
